Marc Hermann owns StorHouse Storage Center, which offers 1,400 indoor units in 10 buildings covering 220,000 square feet in Oxnard.

During the 25 years that Marc Hermann owned and operated Channel Coast Marine, a marine electronics and service firm in Oxnard, he frequently encountered boat owners who had problems finding adequate space to store their boat and related supplies.

This motivated him to develop a large storage-related complex of 10 buildings with 1,400 indoor storage units, a conference room, computers with Internet access, fax-copy services and other features helpful to business clients. The facility has a highly sophisticated security system with digital video surveillance.

Some of the storage units are very spacious, designed for boats, RVs and other vehicles. The unit sizes are up to 16-by-80 feet, with 16-foot-high doors.

StorHouse Storage Center, opened at 3201 W. Fifth St. in Oxnard. His business partner, Wade Ambrose is also an Oxnard resident and boater.

"Our new storage center is a long-planned dream come true for me," Hermann said. We go far beyond the normal features offered in other storage businesses, but our rates are competitive."

The firm also provides a shipping and packing center and sells boxes and other packing and shipping supplies. Some of the units are also climate-controlled.

Hermann, 40, started his Channel Coast Marine business at age 15 when attending high school. He still owns that business.

Hermann's plan for the future is to develop another storage facility. This one would provide outdoor units.

StorHouse Storage Center is now open – all premium indoor storage built of block and steel construction that can accommodate residential, business and fun storage needs. StorHouse is a new generation of storage offering a state-of-the-art facility with first class amenities. Units range in size from 5’x5’ to our “grande” units of 24’x80’ under a roof height of 22 feet. We can easily store boats, recreation vehicles, household/ business items and most big boy toys!

The security systems include the use of tenant proximity cards, coded gates, every unit individually alarmed, extensive digital surveillance with over 80 cameras and the unique ability to restrict gate and elevator usage. For your security, we require fingerprint and photo id for all tenants. The gate hours are 6:00am-9:00pm daily including holidays!

In addition to storage, StorHouse Storage Center offers business services. This includes shared mini office, internet, wifi, copy/fax and a handsome conference room. We do offer packing materials and pickup services as well.

StorHouse offers a variety of services. Everyone is invited to use our business center which include copy/fax service, WiFi availability, and the use of a handsome conference room with a speaker phone and internet. We also offer shipping services (UPS, Fedex, etc.), pickup and receiving services.

We do provide routine maintenance to our RV/Boat and Vehicle storage tenants as well as individual.

What are the size of your units?
From 5’x5’ to 14’x80’ and those in between.

What are your prices?
Price is determined by size and location like most real estate! The larger, the more expensive and the better location again more expensive.

Do you have any specials?
Currently we have “$29.95 Moves You In” specials. Either first month’s rent is $29.95 which covers administration fee and lock charge or you can choose to pay the normal monthly rent fee and get a truck and driver for free – your choice but only one special. We also offer 15% to all active military, 10% senior discount and pre-paid one year in advance and receive one month free.

What type of security do you offer?
We have extensive digital surveillance with over 80 cameras, each unit individually alarmed, require fingerprint and photograph ID, tenant proximity cards and have controlled access to gates and elevators.

What are your gate hours?
Every day 7 days a week you have access from 6:00am to 9:00pm.

What are your office hours?
Open 7 days a week – Monday - Saturday 8:00am - 6:00pm and Sundays 10:00am - 3:00pm

How long do I need to sign up for?
We are month to month lease but do require a 10 day Notice to Vacate.

Do you prorate my move out?
Billing is done on your anniversary date – that’s the day of the month that you moved in. Rent is never prorated or refunded. Tenants must vacate the unit no later than the anniversary date in order to avoid being charged for the next months rent.

How do I pay my bill?
Payments can be mailed, made in person or through this website. You may also arrange to have payments automatically deducted from your credit card at any time.
